Fitness

AaGA, Age and Gender Adjusted, timing tells you just how good you were measure against all the participants, AaGA gives you a result that creates a near equal playing field.

We create a base line, the world best running time for your age and gender for each distance.

Your finishing time is then represented as a percentage of your time against the baseline time to create points.

The highest percentage is the Age and Gender Adjusted distance winner.

The highest total points accumulated across the five distances will be our Challenge Trophy winner.

However, the most important competition is the one with yourself, to improve week by week, that's why we will all be winners.

What about you? Are you up to the challenge of competing on level terms?

Frequently asked questions

Q: The event has started but can I still join?

A: Yes you can join us for the event but the cut off date remains the 22nd Aug.

Q: How do I register?

A: You have to register on the app with GIVEN Name - FAMILY Name - email address - Gender - Nationality - Date of Birth.                Click the 'Just Click HERE to Register' button above and it will take you to the app's registration page

Q: How does the AaGA system work?

A: An Age and Gender Adjusted event. Each time is turned into points by comparing your run time with the world best time for your AGE and GENDER.  Example (Run time/World best time [Male aged 38]) x10000 that is (13:31/22:54) x10000 = 5900 or 59% of the world best time.

Q. How do I change my password?

A.  1. Go to your profile on the event app. 2. Click Edit Profile 3. Click Change Password 4. Follow instructions.

Q. I have forgotten my password, what should I do?

A. On the login page click Forgot Password, enter you email address and you will be sent a new password so you can login and change your password to one you can remember.

Q: How do I post my time?

A: The concept is really simple, you run at any time you wish to and post your time, nominating the distance, directly on the app.

You can post the time from a distance time trial, as a distance lap or as splits. If you post splits you must take the best CONSECUTIVE splits as your run. Any run times posted as a single run that is over distance should be averaged back. Runs shorter than distance need to be penalised 1 minute per 0.1km or part thereof.

Q: How many are in my country team?

A: The COUNTRY challenge, everyone is involved, there is no minimum and no limit, the average of the best three points total for each distance creates the country's score.

Q: I have entered but cannot/have not entered a time. What will happen?

A: Anyone not posting a time will be placed equal last place and score no points.

The AaGA Challenge Trophy.

This is just my way of giving back to the sport I have loved for so many years.

While still competitive at heart I am slowing with age, but where there is a will there is a way.

Age and Gender Adjusted Timing gives us all, young and old, male and female, the opportunity to compete on equal terms.
